abstract = {Abstract: The nature reserve „Attlesee“ with the bog „Spitalmoos“ is situated in the alpine foreland of the eastern Allgäu near Nesselwang (Bavaria). It is an excellent example of a lake terrestrialisation mire with a characteristic vegetation zonation. The development, actual vegetation and the ecological situation of the mire complex have been investigated, with special emphasis on the anthropogenic impact. The results are used to determine the current conservation status of the mire and to develop an improvement concept.},
