The investigations in Jel’nia are part of an investigation scheme in the peatlands and mires of Belarus to work out vegetation forms that indicate mean water level fluctuations (cf. vegetation forms, KOSKA et al. 2001) and connect them with currently undergoing greenhouse gas measurements in Belarus (THIELE et al. 2009) in order to use them later as indicator for greenhouse gas emissions (COUWENBERG et al. 2008, COUWENBERG et al. 2010 in revision). The system of established transects can also serve as a base for long-term monitoring of the results of rewetting activities of local Non-Governmental Organisations and nature conservation administrations.}, note = { \url {http://resolver.sub.uni-goettingen.de/purl?gldocs-11858/7320}}, }
