abstract = {Abstract: In the Great Uchter Moor during a period of 50 years, from 1959 to 2008, the annual carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions for the different uses of the moors can be deducted from the differences of the mightiness of the peat. Therefore the values have to be reduced from the part of settling. In the time of 1959 to 2058 the various use classes were assigned to appropriate emission factors and possible scenarios for the behaviour of greenhouse gas emissions over the past 50 years and in the next 25 to 50 years have been developed. In summary, it shows an overall picture of the climate-relevant behaviour of a large lower bog in Lower Saxony over a period of one hundred years. The Great Moor of Uchte is quite typical for Lower Saxony. A transfer of the data to the scale of Lower Saxony fails at the moment because of the lack of data bases, in particular to the stratigraphy.},
