%X Abstract: Critical values for the use for agronomy and forestry of terrestrial soils are applied upon histosols, neglecting their physico-chemical characteristics. With models, based upon text-books, it is demonstrated, that histosols are quit different from mineral soils concerning moorage of roots, CO2-production, sorption of (harmful) elements and the capacity for absorbing imports of (harmful) elements.
